Please note: parties and loud noises outside after 10:00 PM are strictly prohibited under penalty of a deduction from the security deposit and the “pleasure” of an encounter with the French police. After 10:00 PM, noise is allowed only inside the house, provided doors and windows are closed. The swimming pool is accessible from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Here, politeness and respect are fundamental values we highly cherish. They ease communication and ensure a harmonious living environment.
You are staying in one of the oldest houses in Saint Martin d’Ablois—the inscription on the fireplace marked “1672” is a testament to this. The former post relay is a historic building that played an important role in the local history. Post relays were establishments where travelers could change horses and rest during long journeys. Although specific construction dates are not recorded, its central location in the village and transformation into a guest residence testify to its historical significance.

🔇 Quiet Hours
Out of respect for the neighbors and the peaceful environment, please observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. During this time, excessive noise (loud music, shouting, etc.) outside—on the terrace, garden, or by the pool—is strictly prohibited. Therefore, parties are strictly forbidden under penalty of a deduction from the security deposit ❗

Fully equipped kitchen (fridge, oven, induction cooktop, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher…), plus some thoughtful gourmet treats
Outdoor barbecue with all necessary accessories, including an ash bucket (to prevent fire risk, please dispose of ashes only in the bucket); charcoal is not provided and must be brought by you
Provided household linens: bed sheets, towels, pool towels, kitchen towels
Fiber Wi-Fi connection
TV with Netflix
Essential supplies: toilet paper, soaps, dishwashing liquid, etc.

🏊 The Swimming Pool
Enjoy our pool to fully relax during your stay!
Access hours: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM. After 10:00 PM, quiet swimming is, of course, allowed.
Depth: from 1.20 m to 2.00 m
Safety: alarm system — deactivated when there are no children staying
Maintenance: The pool is regularly maintained (please do not touch any technical equipment such as the cleaning robot, chlorine dispenser, or heat pump). A skimmer net is available for your use if needed.
Lighting: The switch to turn on the pool light is located inside the technical room, marked with an arrow (below the heat pump). Please do not touch any other buttons!
Thermal blue cover: It is strongly recommended to cover the pool in the evening after swimming to retain the heat for the next day.
Pool Rules — please read carefully:
Safety
➔ Swimming is unsupervised; you are responsible for your own safety
➔ Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times
➔ Diving is prohibited
➔ Do not swim under the influence of alcohol—serious accidents can happen!
Hygiene
➔ No sunscreen or body oil before swimming
➔ No food or drinks in or around the pool
Respect for the Property
➔ Sun loungers and special pool towels are provided; please do not use the towels from the bedrooms. Pool towels are located in the kitchen cupboard.
➔ Please do not leave any trash around the pool
➔ No loud music or noise after 10:00 PM!
➔ The pool is exclusively for the use of the guests staying in the accommodation
➔ The gate leading to the street must remain closed at all times, even when you are inside, to avoid disturbing neighbors and to maintain privacy and security.
🔥 General Usage Instructions
Heating / Air Conditioning:
Heating – A central thermostat is located on the fireplace; simply set the desired temperature. Each radiator also has its own individual thermostat. The air conditioning units are not very new but can be used. The first unit is in the veranda (switch on the wall), though it’s usually more effective to open the doors. The second unit is on the second floor; just plug the cable into the power outlet. A fan is also available in that room for use during very hot weather.
Appliances:
Dishwasher – Please use only the “Super 50” program. Dishwasher tablets can be found under the kitchen sink.
Induction cooktop – To avoid scratches, please clean the surface only with microfiber cloths.
Coffee – A Nespresso machine with some capsules is provided. Alternatively, there is also a drip coffee maker and some ground coffee in the kitchen. Since the water in our region is potable but very hard, please use only filtered water with the Brita filter pitcher provided.
Also available: toaster, citrus juicer, microwave.

Pets are not allowed.
Please do not flush anything down the toilet except toilet paper.

Please:
We kindly ask you to watch over your personal belongings: valuables (jewelry, electronic devices, various payment methods, etc.) should not be left unattended in parked vehicles. The hosts decline all responsibility in case of loss or theft of these items.
It is strongly discouraged to dry clothes on the windows. Jumping on the beds or cleaning shoes with the bedding is strictly prohibited! Any item intentionally soiled or damaged will result in a deduction from the security deposit.
For the protection of minors, alcohol consumption is prohibited for anyone under the legal drinking age.
Children on the property are the sole responsibility of their parents.
Guests agree to return the rooms in perfect condition at the end of their stay and to report and financially cover any damage for which they may be responsible.
Theft and Accidents:
The owner declines all responsibility for theft or bodily injury occurring on the property.
In case of lost keys, a fixed fee of €90 per key will be charged.
Inside the house, you will find a welcome booklet designed to guide you throughout your stay. It also contains useful information about the house, the neighborhood, available amenities, and local recommendations.
